URBAN CENTERS

The neighborhoods formed on the outskirts of the city make up a separate city that has been built from informality. Due to this, there was no type of urban planning, nor were risk areas considered. This has deeply affected its inhabitants who, despite adversity, have managed to form a community based on individual and collective efforts.

In this project we worked in the Alto Fucha sector in the town of San Cristobal. This seeks to improve the living conditions of the community through an urban and architectural project that integrates them in decision-making based on a diagnosis and characterization of the territory.

The project follows the guidelines of the terraces plan, which seeks to improve homes that are not fully consolidated, while generating both large and small-scale urban interventions with a positive impact for the sector.

CHARACTERIZATION

FINAL DELIVERY SAMPER MENDOZA-01_edited.j

The consolidation of a productive sector starts from a morphogenetic change that involves the dynamics of mixed uses and the relationship established between society and the territory, determining urban transformations based on the needs and development of the people.

The objective of the study carried out was to identify and investigate these dynamics, reaching the conclusion that the Samper Mendoza is a multidiverse productive sector.

In the 3d model of the sector elaborated in Sketchup, important points of this can be evidenced such as the Paloquemao square, the Mall NQS shopping center and part of the Central cemetery, which correspond to the most important elements of the sector for being cultural nodes and activity sites that generate urban dynamics in their surroundings, articulated by the urban fabric resulting from the multiple historical processes that the sector has experienced

METACITY

The Metacity provides us with a comprehensive tool to develop a complete diagnosis of the territory in terms of the composition of its productive structure, in the case of Samper Mendoza we can see a sector with a productive vocation focused on trade, the provision of services and dotational equipment, providing it with a character of attractor of population flows which in the future will be enhanced with the arrival of the Regiotram and the Metro, the residence in the sector plays a secondary role together with the industry, finally a poor environmental character is presented which is a direct consequence of the deficit of green spaces and public space.

VISION OF THE TERRITORY

Based on the identified urban phenomena and based on the proposed strategies, the aim is to consolidate the Samper Mendoza sector in the future as a centrality with a strong cultural character, environmental rehabilitation processes and green systems, with the arrival of new housing, the reappearance of industry, a centrality at the level of mobility and social integration.

The aim is to implement strategies based on modifying the systems that make up the existing urban functioning based on actions such as modifications in public space, the appearance of new urban facilities, transport systems such as the metro or the Regiotram and specific urban interventions that seek alter the interaction of the elements of the city

URBAN DEVICES

GENERAL STRATEGIES DEVICES

The devices correspond to specific urban interventions that, based on different strategies and different types of treatments, seek to work as a system, generating the appropriate conditions so that the vision proposed for the sector can be developed. These devices seek to make a transition between the small scale of the block with the large scale that encompasses this entire sector and the way in which the proposal can finally be articulated with the future of the city.

DEVICE CODES

The codes seek to represent portions of the devices in detail showing how they seek to function, including human scale, and specific details characteristic of each one.

PLANTS DETAIL OF DEVICES

The devices seek to permeate the territory and serve as articulating axes, in these plants it is possible to observe at a close scale the way in which they seek to relate to the city

PROGRESSIVE AXONOMETRY

The purpose of the nolli plane is to represent the permeability of the city, with the spaces represented in white being permeable spaces for pedestrians, and the black spaces being closed spaces. The city proposal seeks, first of all, to build a green network that connects the entire sector through a environmental at the same time as having a permeable city which does not have urban barriers or cylinder heads that fragment the sector

The progressive axonometry seeks to represent and transmit how an urban transformation is achieved gradually from the devices, as well as hypothetical scenarios around real projects in cases such as the appearance of the Regiotram and seeks to represent how this will affect the sector.

CUTS

The different types of graph are intended to represent the use and way of living that is sought to be given to the urban proposal of the project, having as a vision a city with a much more forceful public space, buildings with mixed uses that promote a heterogeneous city. , transport systems that modify the dynamics in the mobility of the sector and a city much more focused on pedestrians.
